Pekanbaru – The Faculty of Psychology at Universitas Islam Riau (UIR) officially welcomed its new students for the Academic Year 2025/2026 through the Pengenalan Kehidupan Kampus bagi Mahasiswa Baru (PKKMB) program, held over two days on September 16–17, 2025. The event took place at the Faculty of Psychology courtyard and was filled with enthusiasm and excitement from all participants.

The program was officially opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Psychology, Dr. Sigit Nugroho, M.Psi., Psychologist, who in his address expressed high hopes that the new students would grow into excellent, competitive individuals who uphold Islamic values. “We expect our new students not only to excel academically but also to be active in organizations and community service,” he stated.

This year’s PKKMB featured a wide range of activities, including academic and administrative orientation, an introduction to student organizations, and inspiring seminars. A highlight of the program was the presence of National Speaker, Teddy Prasetya Yuliawan, who delivered a motivational session on personal growth and self-development.

The event atmosphere was lively, warm, and full of togetherness. New students showed great enthusiasm as they actively participated in each session, from lectures and discussions to interactive activities prepared by the committee.

With the successful implementation of PKKMB 2025, the Faculty of Psychology at UIR is confident that this new cohort will be able to adapt well, maximize their potential, and contribute positively both within the campus community and beyond.
