UIR Psychology Class of 2025 Enhance Soft Skills Through MABIT Program

Pekanbaru – The Psychology Study Program at the Universitas Islam Riau (UIR) organized a Soft Skill Enhancement program for its Class of 2025 students. Held on December 19–20, 2025, at the Al-Munawwarah Mosque, UIR, the event was attended by 191 students and delivered through the MABIT (Malam Bina Iman dan Taqwa – Faith and Piety Strengthening Night) format.

Objectives and Core Values

The primary goal of this initiative is to strengthen students’ soft skills by reinforcing spiritual values, discipline, togetherness, and Islamic character building. These traits are intended to serve as a foundation for their academic and professional journeys. Through a spiritual and reflective approach, students are expected to internalize faith-based values and ethics that align with their scientific competencies in Psychology.

Program Highlights

The MABIT schedule featured several spiritual activities, including:

  • Congregational prayers
  • Tausiah (religious lectures)
  • Tadarus Al-Qur’an (group Quranic recitation)
  • Tahajud (night prayers)

These activities were designed to foster self-awareness, responsibility, and solidarity among students within a religious and communal atmosphere.

Impact and Commitment

The participants showed great enthusiasm, actively engaging in the program until its conclusion. By the end of the event, the Psychology Class of 2025 is expected to not only excel academically but also possess strong soft skills, integrity, and a solid spiritual foundation.

The UIR Psychology Study Program remains committed to providing character and soft skill development programs. This is part of its ongoing effort to produce graduates who are competitive, possess noble character, and are oriented toward Islamic values.
