Practitioner Discussion with Totok Kurniawan, Deputy Director of SCM and External Plant Group, Kalbe Nutritionals

Pekanbaru, October 14, 2025 – The Faculty of Psychology, Universitas Islam Riau (UIR), held a Practitioner Discussion featuring Totok Kurniawan, Deputy Director of Supply Chain Management (SCM) and External Plant Group at Kalbe Nutritionals. The event took place on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at 1:30 PM at The Zuri Hotel, Pekanbaru.

The discussion was attended by lecturers and administrative staff of the Faculty of Psychology UIR as part of the faculty’s commitment to enhancing human resource competence in both academic and managerial aspects.

In his presentation, Totok Kurniawan shared insights and experiences related to supply chain management practices within the industrial sector, particularly at Kalbe Nutritionals. He emphasized the importance of efficiency, cross-functional collaboration, and adaptability to rapid changes in the modern business landscape.

“Supply chain management is not only about logistics and distribution—it’s about building a resilient, efficient, and sustainable system. The industrial world today demands speed, accuracy, and innovation at every stage,” explained Totok Kurniawan.

Dean of the Faculty of Psychology UIR, Dr. Sigit Nugroho, M.Psi., Psychologist, expressed his appreciation for the presence of industry practitioners and highlighted the importance of cross-sector collaboration in strengthening educational institutions.

“This activity is a strategic step for the faculty to broaden perspectives and enhance the professionalism of lecturers and administrative staff. Through direct interaction with industry practitioners, we hope to gain new inspiration in managing academic and administrative systems more effectively,” stated Dr. Sigit.

The Practitioner Discussion with Totok Kurniawan served as a valuable platform for knowledge exchange between academia and industry, reinforcing the synergy between the Faculty of Psychology UIR and the professional world in building an adaptive and competitive learning ecosystem.
