Pekanbaru, November 13, 2025 — Lecturers from the Faculty of Psychology at Universitas Islam Riau (UIR) held a Proposal Coaching session with Prof. Dr. Padil, S.T., M.T. as an effort to increase their capacity and competitiveness in participating in the 2026 research grant program. This activity was organized to strengthen the lecturers’ readiness in designing high-quality, relevant, and competitive proposals for both national and internal grant schemes.
During the coaching session, Prof. Dr. Padil provided in-depth understanding of research proposal writing strategies, sharpening the novelty, developing a robust methodology, and mapping the appropriate target outcomes. He emphasized the importance of research continuity, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and the alignment between the research issue and the institutional roadmap.
This activity is particularly important considering that UIR has now achieved the Mandiri Cluster status, which demands continuous improvement in research quality. The Faculty of Psychology views this kind of coaching as a strategic step to encourage lecturers to actively participate and compete in various research funding schemes.
The Dean of the UIR Faculty of Psychology, Dr. Sigit Nugroho., M.Psi., Psychologist, stated that the implementation of this activity is expected to generate more excellent proposals from the lecturers, while simultaneously reinforcing the faculty’s academic contribution to the development of science and the enhancement of the institution’s reputation.
With this proposal coaching, the Faculty of Psychology UIR is optimistic about increasing its research and publication achievements in 2026, as well as fostering a stronger and more sustainable research culture within the campus environment.
